As a ceramic artist and cabinetmaker I divide my time between working with clay and wood.

After being hooked on the potter’s wheel while studying fine arts in college in 1996 I went on to study the craft of ceramics all the while working in various cabinet making shops in Montreal. I obtained a vocational degree from Montreal’s Centre de Céramique Bonsecours in 1998 as well as a College technical training in cabinetry and architectural millwork from l’École Québécoise du Meuble et du Bois Ouvré in 2003. I create utilitarian and decorative ceramics as well as furniture crafted from local and exotic woods.

Located in Campbell’s Bay in the beautiful Pontiac County, an hour’s drive from the Nation’s capital I also offer pottery lessons covering all aspects of throwing on the wheel. I hope to be offering wood and raku firing workshops in the near future. I primarily work with high fire stoneware and porcelain. The glazes I use are of Korean and Japanese origin. I primarily use Iron glazes fired at high temperatures (1285° Celsius). Some of my pieces are woodfired in my kiln on my Calumet Island property.

The studio is equipped with 4 pottery wheels, a slab roller, a high fire kiln as well as various glazes and all the tools necessary to answer to your creativity.
